"I" cried out for milk at... Saturday, September 10, 2005
Yesterday, on my way back home from school, it was like the "longest" journey I ever traveled. Train seemed to travel very slowly. I felt cold and terrible on the train. At that moment, I wished that I was a child again and my school is near my parents workplace. And teachers would dial for your parents and tell them that you are not feeling well and request them to bring me home. But Sch is too far away. My parents will definitely ask me to take a cab back. Anyway, Im a strong gal, I endured till I reached home.
Just as I expected, I am down with high fever of 38.6 degree Celsius when I measured myself. I decided to see doctor at 11pm when I had breathing difficulty. I cant seems to get enough air into my lungs. My youngest brother was jokingly saying that I better dont faint, cos he forgot how to do CPR already. Having seen the dengue cases at peak, it makes me worry that I might have caught the virus too. So scary!! Anyway, all went well. Phew!
The doctor said I had a very high fever of 39 deg, and diagnosed that it was chest infection. But cos im having muscle aches, so he said if my fever still persist, then I had to go to hospital for more check ups, just in case it was dengue fever. But at least for now, my fever has subsided. It sets my mind at ease for this moment.
The medicine he given me is so strong, making me drowsy and weak. In the past, I dont believe that medicine can cause drowsiness, cos I was never drowsy. But now, the effects are strong, that I can feel the effects in less than 30 min.
Maybe I should take better care of myself. Being sick is not cheap. :-(
